As a college student, I could afford one roll of Ektachrome 160 per show, along with push-processing a stop or two. I'd run down the aisle to shoot near the front of the stage -- until the ushers would make me return to my seat.

Jamming for Peace : Music From Iran, Iraq, Turkey and Beyond. In the 1980s, Iran and Iraq were at war for eight years and hundreds of thousands of people from both sides became victims of the devastating struggle. The significance of this concert is that master musicians from Iran and Iraq joined a couple of Jewish Americans and others to perform for PEACE, emphasizing the fact that people are at peace with each other, regardless of what their governments are doing.
